Do you have a spare $65,000 behind the sofa? Well, we have the trip for you.

Jaws. Amphibious vehicles. Niagara Falls in a barrel. Swimming the Channel. Humans have a fascination with water and finally, we can now stay in an underwater hotel.  Of course, it is in the stunning Maldives and you can stay here for as long as you can afford it.

Yes, that’s $65,000 for one night. A dream. A fantasy. Do not let the kids inside. Don’t touch anything.

OK, I won the lotto … how do I get there?

Flights from Sydney to Male airport will set you back around $300 one way with a stopover in Kuala Lumpur. A return seaplane transfer from Male to the underwater hotel is $526 per adult and $263 per child under 12. If that isn’t opulent enough for you, a luxury yacht is available for rent.

How good is it?

This hotel is the culmination of a lifetime of work.

‘The completion of The Muraka is a personal lifetime achievement,” said Ahmed Saleem,  chief architect and designer of the residence. “After years in the making, my team and I are proud to officially present The Muraka residence to worldly travellers who crave the extraordinary.”

The Muraka has four different menus for guests to choose from. If you can afford to stay here you will also have devoted butlers 24 hours a day – seven days a week.

The hotel is rightfully proud of its latest innovation.

“Our philosophy of innovation is supported by several triumphs at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island,” said Stefano Ruzza, General Manager of Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. “From the first construction of Ithaa Undersea Restaurant to our second venture under the Indian Ocean.

If you are loaded with cash you can hire the underwater restaurant for weddings. Kids are welcome- if they can afford it.

Yes, none of us can afford it. But we can dream.
